Beauty is.....

You know how you're are always trying to achieve that perfect look and when you finally achieve it you're ECSTATIC and filled with so much Joy!!!! Exactly, how I felt when I mastered the results for this bomb twist-out.

I'll start with a little background of my natural hair journey. I initially cut my hair back in 2006, when I made attempts to dye my hair a few months after I relaxed my hair. Considering it was approximately 2 months later I thought that I was in the green but my hair fell out in clumps!! I was devestated. Since 2006, I have dyed my hair a million times, cut it even more times, pressed it out every two-weeks, decided to be heat-free for a few years, and now we are HERE! The last time I took the scissors to my head was 12/29/2016. I was in the spriit of "new beginnings" so I cut my hair. ALL OF MY HAIR!!!

 BEFORE.....

BEFORE.....

 AFTER......

AFTER......

I was feeling very liberated and free but those feelings have since been washed away. I feel my hair is stagnant but I am reassurred everyday that my hair has grown tremendously by both peers and strangers. I'm just being a big baby because I want my big blonde bush back. I have been tempted more times then I can count to dye my hair blonde but that will stray the course that I am trying to pursue with my hair. My hopes are to grow out my bush until it wont grow anymore without any chemicals or heat added. I want my curls to flourish and reach their  highest potential.

But somehow someway, I managed to fall in love with my hair when I washed my hair last. I received soooooooo many compliments and questions about products used so I decided to right a blog post for my lovely followers. You should be able to find all of the items used in your local beauty supply store, walmarts, and targets. STAY TUNED FOR THE FABULOUS RESULTS!

Products used:
1.) Shea butter moisture retention shampoo & conditioner ( Click here)
2.) Shea butter raw shea butter restorative conditioner (Click here)
3.) Shea moisture deep treatment masque (Click here)
4.) Cantu leave-in conditioning repair cream (Click here)
5.) Taliah waajid curly curm cream: new product for me but I love it! (Click here)
6.) Jojoba oil
7.)  Eco styler curl and wave gel (Click here)

Steps:
1.) I initially washed my hair with the shea moisture shampoo and conditoner.
2.) I then deep conditioned my hair with the deep treatment masque. I usually allow my deep conditioner to set overnight but that is optional. I recommend a minimum of a 1/2 hr.
3.) The next day I rinsed my deep conditoner and applied the leave-in.
4.) I applied the curly cream all over my hair.
5.) Layered my hair with the jojoba oil. Your hair should be mositurized and shiny because the oil acts as a sealant and locks in the moisture.
6.) Lastly, I used the eco styler gel to style my hair. I love this gel because it is alcohol free and you want to try and stay away from products with alcohol in the ingredients.
7.) I sectioned my hair in small sections and two-strand twisted each section.
8.) I let my hair air dry because I am not using chemicals or heat on my hair.
