Style Me Authentic
When it comes to fashion and its rules... I can attest that ....there are none. Or at least that's what I tell myself 90% of the time. Of course, you have your deal breakers that are, in my opinion, just crossing the lines but that's why we relish in our uniqueness and celebrate our differences. How many can agree that open toes in the winter time is borderline absurd? Although this may very well be OK for the next person but I can't bring myself to agree with this particular notion. I hate when my big toe is freezing (haha). How about summer white after Labor Day? I just cannot bring myself to participate in this controversial rule that has been lingering over our heads for some time now. That's a personal opinion which I am entitled to but again it's another no for me. When it comes to mixing prints, different textures and allowing yourself to have fun with fashion. I'm all for it. Do what you want!! Live free ... Run wild!!! At the end of the day style is what and who you are. It speaks volumes without you having to say one word. Embrace it. "Style Me Authentic" is the motto for my fashion brand and a quote that I live by daily. Because it embodies me in only three simple words. Celebrating who you are as an individual matters most and never try to imitate or duplicate others, people will be able to sense the "unauthentic-ness."
You have your girly girls and then you have your more dominant girls. I'm that "diamond in the rough" that's somewhere right in between on the spectrum. I don't have to get my nails done consistently. I may not feel like painting my toes. But rest assured I have a collection of polishes just in case I want to feel like “pretty woman”. I don't always have to stay up on the latest trends or the most expensive designer wear. You know that saying "fashion is when you can make $3 look like $300" (or something along those lines) I'd much prefer to set my own trends. When getting dressed I believed you should always add that touch of flair or element of surprise. Maybe a fur coat with a pair of your favorite jeans, or an oversized studded choker paired with a simple white tee. Piecing those joggers or track suits with heels, an eccentric bag or even a blazer can transition athleisure to glam with just a subtle change. The touch of contrast usually turns the ordinary outfit into extraordinary. My advice to you is to always be yourself and remain true because it will make you feel better when you’re striding with confidence throughout the day. Personally, I could never pretend to be anyone else other than me. And at the end of the day... I'm just Jai.
Don't get me wrong, everyone is not a fashionista or a fashion lover. You'll have individuals that don't even attempt to put on clothes when leaving out the house, a tank and pair of jeans will do just fine. Nothing is wrong with that approach because that's not who you are as a person. That's why you have people like myself who can love it for you and guide you in the right direction. I would love to hear some of your comments and questions when it comes to your own rules to fashion. I'm just a comment section away and can't wait to hear from you.
Keep me Posted..... Jai
